Once she was a student at New Haven High School. Now she has had her break and is a part of Delta High School’s growing community.
Mrs. Taylor Lennon has come to Delta High School to teach English. She moved to Muncie while she was getting her English degree while attending Ball State University in 2018. Later, she began attending Purdue University in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Lennon used to be a student teacher at Maple Creek Middle School in Fort Wayne. She then went to work at Driver Middle School in Winchester teaching English and journalism before moving to Delta to teach English.
She had heard many great things about Delta that encouraged her to want to start working here.
She decided to start teaching English because she loves reading and writing. She said that she thinks words can tell us so much about a person, an idea, history, and so on.
Her favorite book is either Conviction by Kelly Loy Gilbert or Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. Conviction is from the point of view of a 17-year-old boy who loves baseball and deals with family struggles. Little Fires Everywhere is written in third person and primarily focuses on two families in a small town as they tackles issues like money and status.
Mrs. Lennon says, “I love realistic fiction because it tells a story that resembles real life and helps me understand other ways of thinking and living.”
When she is not in school, she likes to cook, bake, watch TV, read, and spend time with family.
At Delta, she works alongside her husband, Mr. Adam Lennon, who is a Biology teacher a few doors away.
